Interior design for the new WELL aparthotel on the Obvodny Canal embankment. The project is conceived as an urban wellbeing ecosystem, where the environment supports recovery, focus, and a sense of comfort.
Not a hotel. Not a residential building. A new way of living in the city.
The concept is based on biophilic design — restoring a connection with nature within an urban setting. Natural materials, greenery, art, and a custom circadian lighting system work together to create a calm, balanced atmosphere.
Every detail is designed around well-being:
— Lighting that feels soft and natural throughout the day
— Controlled air quality, humidity, and acoustic comfort
— Thoughtful use of color, rhythm, and texture
— Tactile materials and biophilic elements
The interior is designed to support daily life rather than dominate it — creating a quiet, composed environment instead of a visually overloaded one.
In addition to the residential units, the project includes:
— Spaces for focused work and informal meetings
— A daily restaurant, café, and coworking area
— A lobby with soft, intuitive navigation
— A podcast room
Movement, light scenarios throughout the day, and transitions between different states of activity form the core of the concept. All functions are integrated into a single spatial system, where different zones complement each other rather than compete.
