A next-generation office designed for a major IT company, located on one of the floors of a business center in St. Petersburg. The brief was to deliver, within a limited timeline, a workspace that combined several functions: an open-plan area for the sales department, meeting rooms, coffee points, and a management zone. One of the architectural challenges was the building’s rounded trapezoid facade, which required a flexible, non-standard planning solution.
The layout is organized around the perimeter: workstations are placed by the windows, while meeting rooms and support spaces are located in the center.
The central core is designed as a “cloud-like volume” that conceals the engineering systems and visually defines the composition of the office. There are no assigned desks, allowing employees to move between locations and use the space in different ways throughout the day.
The interior is built around the idea of sky and light. The ceilings are painted sky blue, while exposed services and radial light fixtures continue the sense of airiness. Navigation is handled through concise wall typography. Circular acoustic elements above the desks help zone the space and reinforce the feeling of softened boundaries.
The base palette combines white, light gray, wood, and blue accents. The entire office feels open and breathable: wide circulation paths, plenty of air, and clean lines. The design is aimed not at a dramatic visual effect, but at creating a sense of clarity and openness.
The project was completed in two months. The resulting office became more than just a workplace — it turned into a space that supports the company’s culture and its open, democratic approach. The project was nominated for Best Office Awards 2017.
